East London-born Msaki has put together a playlist teeming with iconic pioneers. There’s jazz icon Nina Simone, the Icelandic avant-pop performer Bjork and the haunting morna vocalist Cesária Évora. “The women that I've chosen for this playlist are not only trailblazers in their genres but they are also incredible songwriters and commentators of their generation, also women that have given me permission to be myself,” says Msaki.
