Tapping into indigenous Southern African sounds, composer and storyteller Madosini infuses Nguni folk with overtone singing. Anchored by the isitolotolo (Jew’s harp), uhadi (stringed calabash), and mhrube (mouth bow), Power to women offers up enchanting polyrhythms alongside Changuito's congas, Mayito's bata, and the Amampondo Choir. With "Wenu Se Goli" posterized in the film Yesterday, Madosini remains the chief custodian of traditional Xhosa music.
