Boukan Ginen

This Haitian roots band was founded in 1990 and released their debut album, 1995's Jou a Rive, on the Xenophile label. The ten-piece group, playing traditional hand drums as well as electric guitars, blends elements of reggae, African and voodoo music; their sophomore effort Rev Au Nou appeared in 1997. ~ John Bush
