“There's always a song or piece from early in every artist's career that they believe to be extremely important,” says Chinese piano virtuoso Lang Lang. “For example, my first solo concert at New York's Carnegie Hall in 2003 was a huge affirmation for me, and gave me the confidence to let the world hear a voice from China.” In his first guest playlist for Apple Music, Lang Lang dives back into his early days to offer this blend of classical and popular music, including his own recordings and those of his friends. “I'm glad to be able to introduce everyone to some of my favorite early works in the careers of my musician friends, to allow everyone to appreciate our initial passion for music.”
