About The Underground Youth

Originally hailing from Manchester, England, the Underground Youth make moody, often raw, '80s-style post-punk infused with a darkly psychedelic vibe. Formed in 2008, the Underground Youth was initially the solo project of singer, guitarist, and songwriter Craig Dyer. After Dyer's songs found an audience online, he brought in his wife, drummer Ola Dyer, as well as guitarist Leonard Kaage and bassist Max James, to round out the ensemble. Since 2009's Morally Barren, they have released a handful of well-received independent albums including 2010's Sadovaya, 2012's Delirium, and 2015's Haunted. Along the way, they relocated to Berlin, Germany. In 2017, they delivered their eighth full-length album, What Kind of Dystopian Hellhole Is This? ~ Matt Collar
