About Sinach

∙ Born Osinachi Kalu, Sinach is a popular Nigerian gospel singer-songwriter whose work has been performed and translated around the world. ∙ Honored in 2016 for her contribution to gospel music, Sinach was the first recipient of the LIMA Songwriter of the Decade Award. ∙ She received the 2016 African Achievers Award for Global Excellence, which honors leadership in arts and culture. ∙ During a 2017 visit to Israel, she was inducted into the Bethlehem Hall of Faith, with a certificate of commemoration for her contributions to Christian culture with her music. ∙ In 2019, she became the first gospel artist from Africa to tour India, headlining shows in front of thousands of attendees. ∙ The first Nigerian artist to win a Dove Award, she was honored in 2020 for her 2015 track “Way Maker,” which was adopted by Christian protesters following the death of George Floyd.
