Alabama Shakes, Sound & Color Kimbra, The Golden Echo Mother Mother, Eureka Without these records, I wouldn't make the music I do, mix the way I do, or even be the same person. Tell us why you chose this song. “Feels So Good” I wrote this song thinking about my best friends, chilling on Moonlight Beach, beer and bud in hand. I love writing Platonic love songs. They're real celebrations of why I love life. The homies! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I started learning Japanese when I was very sick in the hospital with Guillain-Barré syndrome. I didn't know why. It just brought me comfort. Now, I produce a band called CHAI from Nagoya, and spend every chance I get in Japan. Serendipity and joy! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to collaborate with my musical heroes. I hope to keep getting my chops up, so I can hang when that time comes! I want to grow the community / scene and create with the people I love.
