About Sandra Lynn

Sandra Lynn is a contemporary country-pop singer whose polished, melodic music contains echoes of both the understated Deana Carter and the melodramatic Carrie Underwood. Lynn launched her professional career with an eponymous EP in 2014 and kept working steadily over the next few years. Lynn spent her earliest years in Chino, California, and that's where she first fell in love with country and performing. When she was seven, her family moved to Orange County, and she continued to fall deeper in love with music, but it wasn't until she was attending Pepperdine University that she began writing songs. After graduation, she set out to record a demo, making a valuable connection with producer David Foster and traveling to Nashville, where she started to make inroads into the country music industry. Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts produced her self-titled debut EP in 2014. She quickly followed that with the single "Afterparty" and the 2015 single "Bar Hoppin'." In 2017, she released the singles "Hey California," which was co-written with Dave Brainard, and "America the Beautiful." Early in 2018, she released her second EP, Fight, which was the first in a series of three EPs that year. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
