Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter MAJOR. brings old-school soul vibes to his modern pop music. • Born Major Johnson Finley, the Texas native started making music as a child, performing in venues in his hometown of Houston. • The talented youngster graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and received classical training from The Juilliard School and the Houston Grand Opera High School Voice Studio. He went on to study at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he served as president of the student body. • His 2016 debut EP, i am MAJOR., features his breakout single, “Why I Love You,” which reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart and earned praise from Stevie Wonder. • MAJOR.’s debut album, Even More, arrived in 2018. That same year, he received a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional R&B Performance for the track “Honest.” • In 2019, he landed a recurring role on the Fox musical drama Star.
