Ringo Starr's career and catalog seems tailor-made for the kind of set-up provided by VH1 Storytellers. Starr fills the space in between hits with brief anecdotes of his celebrated past. This 1998 session was recorded at around the time of Starr's Vertical Man album and contains tracks such as "King of Broken Hearts" and "La De Da." His backing band here, The Roundheads, are an incredible asset as they bring a tightness and warmth to their renditions of classics like "Don't Pass My By" and Ringo's own "Photograph."
