BigXthaPlug followed his 2023 debut LP AMAR with a victory lap EP, THE BIGGEST, building on the themes and ideas, spitting over classic Southern beats with his already iconic booming voice. BigX wastes no time proving his bona fides on the tape, recruiting Offset for the second track, “Climate.” The head-nodding cut moves at a leisurely pace, paying homage to the BPMs that soundtracked the Lone Star State back when the dearly departed DJ Screw was cooking up syrupy songs. On the track, BigX is clear that no matter how big he gets, he still reps his Dallas hood first and foremost. He raps, “600 the block, the label, the set/Roll the dice on me, place your bet.” Those early investors are certainly cashing in their chips now. Elsewhere, on “Patience,” BigX reminds himself to stay humble despite his bevy of triumphs: “You know I'm thе same, ain't really shit changed but the picture/My circle got smaller, not bigger.”
