Yet this is a group as respected for its formidable corridos as it is beloved for its heartfelt románticas. Coming a full year after the substantial Brindo, this follow-up speaks to both sides of their repertoire, from the boldness of “El jefe Daniel” to the devastations of “Lo Acepto.” Lead vocalist Chato exudes overwhelming passion on “Mi Bello Ángel” and expresses purposeful intentions on “Soy Alegre.” Elsewhere, “Aun Así” delves deeply into heartache and pain, leaving a sliver of hope that love would return.
