With Pt. 01, ASTRO have crafted a set of songs to match their youthful energy, each track more exuberant than the last. "Baby" is a polished slice of '80s synth-pop and the boys' best song to date. "Dreams Come True" feels like a playful K-pop reinterpretation of Clean Bandit's "Rather Be," while "You Smile" is an explosion of synth-rock joy. Elsewhere, the ballad "Lie," with its innocent-in-love lyrics and oceanic production, is truly heart-rending.
