All In

All In

Country singer Chris Janson’s All In is a honky-tonk barn burner with heart to spare. Influenced by ‘80s and ‘90s radio icons like Travis Tritt—who guests on the rippin’ “Things You Can’t Live Without”—the album is mostly rough, rowdy, and joyful. That’s partly thanks to the camaraderie; Janson brought in plenty of friends to both cowrite and guest, putting Rhett Akins on the tailgate party anthem “Halfway To Crazy” and Eric Church on the dark “You, Me & The River.” Janson gets wild on “Keys To The Country,” and celebrates the moment he fell for his wife on the ecstatic title track. But All In’s got a tearjerker on it, too, with “Bye Mom,” a touching song about mothers and sons inspired by cowriter Brandon Kinney’s relationship with his own mother, who passed away in 2020.
