In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is my first connection with classical music. I was in elementary school and our class went to the mythic Teatro Solis in Montevideo. I discovered the beauty of a string quartet performing live and it mesmerized me! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Joan Manuel Serrat, Mediterráneo Leopoldo Federico, Mi Fueye Querido Sexteto Mayor, Embajadores del Tango - Grabado En Vivo en Alemania Sexteto Major., a live recording with superb repertoire. Mi fueye querido-Leopoldo Federico. Tribute to the bandoneon by a great interpreter. Joan Manuel Serrat’s works: for his unique ability to combine exquisite poems and melodies. Dedicated to the city that became my hometown in the ‘70s. Then recorded with my Ensemble in Canada, my country of adoption. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our world premieres on Broadway in the early 2000s were exhilarating events! Another very special moment was my performance of the 4 Estaciones Porteñas by Astor Piazzolla with the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec. Simply unforgettable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As an artist, I am a dreamer and was fortunate to tick many projects from my bucket list. One outstanding and special one would be exploring new tango pieces with arrangements for symphonic or large chamber orchestra. What a thrill that would be!
