West Texas hardcore unit Judiciary emerged in 2014 with an explosive sound and lyrical approach rooted in crossover, thrash, and metallic hardcore. A 2017 split with Canadian hardcore enthusiasts Mortality Rate helped set the table for the band's first full-length effort. Released by Closed Casket Activities, the uncompromising Surface Noise appeared in 2019. Working with Power Trip producer Arthur Rizk, Judiciary continued to refine their punk-metal sound on 2023's thrash-forward Flesh + Blood.
