In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My parents forced me to take piano lessons. I hated it so much that I wrote a note and placed it on the door for the piano teacher "No more lessons. We moved!". It didn't work. Looking back, I'm grateful my parents made me take those lessons. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Antonio Bribiesca, Chavela Vargas, Noche Bohemia Love, Forever Changes (Remastered) The Byrds, Sweetheart of the Rodeo Reissue Edition with Bonus Tracks These are the first albums that come to mind when I think of my favorite albums. No reason other than that they are brilliant. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “When I'm Gone, When I'm Dead” I began writing this song while in high school in the 1990s but it was incomplete until the passing of my dad in 2019. It deals with my anxiety about my mom now that she's alone as well as gambling addiction. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've had many memorable moments but the recording the new album "Sandbox of Sin" with Chance McCoy (Old Crow Medicine Show) is at the top of that list. I'm very proud of what we created. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Not really. I just go with the flow. If a great opportunity come around, then I'll consider it. But big bucket lists just ain't my thing.
