While he first vibed to soulful voices and electronic beats as a kid in Guatemala, singer and producer Jesse Baez has since been embraced by alternative R&B fans worldwide. After bouncing around the globe and hooking up with new collaborators, he crafted a lush and catchy EP that moves beyond the woozy slow jams that so often define 21st-century soul’s experimental side. Baez adds bright tropical-house hooks with help from dance producer extraordinaire Dillon Francis (“Quiero Saber”) and lets fellow outsider C.
