About Krzysztof Meisinger

Guitarist Krzysztof Meisinger has played music ranging from Vivaldi to Astor Piazzolla during an international performing and recording career. He has commissioned a number of new works for the guitar, including Dmitriy Varelas' Concerti Grossi. Meisinger is also a frequent guest at festivals such as the Music in Old Krakow Festival and the National Philharmonic Festival in Warsaw. Meisinger is an enthusiastic chamber player who has frequently collaborated with soprano Sumi Jo and with the Philharmonia Quartett Berlin. Meisinger's 2013 release, Melodia Sentimental, was named one of the ten best of the year by a German critics' organization. The following year, Meisinger served as the artistic director for a production of Astor Piazzolla's María de Buenos Aires. In 2017, he founded the Meisinger Music Festival in Szczecin. He returned to recordings in 2021 with the virtuoso solo album Elogio de la Guitarra.
