About EXILE THE SECOND

J-pop group EXILE THE SECOND was formed in 2012 as an offshoot of their successful predecessor, EXILE. ∙ Their first two full-length albums, 2014’s THE II AGE and 2017’s Born to Be Wild, debuted at No. 1 on the Japanese charts. ∙ The danceable electro-rock tune “Wild Wild Wild” was used as a promotional single for the Japanese theatrical release of Suicide Squad. ∙ At the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards Japan, the group’s “Shut Up!! Shut Up!! Shut Up!!” won Best Group Video. ∙ In 2017, EXILE THE SECOND became the first J-pop band to work with Grammy-winning director Dave Meyers when he filmed a music video for their single “Route 66.” ∙ The group had two singles—“Ain’t Afraid To Die” and “Top Down”—included in the 2019 movie High & Low: The Worst, which is part of the popular Japanese High & Low universe.
