About Gente de Zona
Cuban reggaetóneros Gente de Zona had two different lineups before cofounder Alexander Delgado recruited Randy Malcolm Martinez from timba band Charanga Habanera in 2013. ∙ The duo broke through to US audiences in 2013 with “Yo Quiero (Si Tu Te),” featuring Pitbull, whose song “Vacations” Delgado had guested on two years prior. ∙ “Bailando,” Enrique Iglesias' 2014 smash featuring Gente de Zona and Descemer Bueno, broke the duo internationally, with the song's video garnering nearly 3 billion views. ∙ In 2015, they were the first clients signed to prior collaborator Marc Anthony's Magnus Media entertainment company. ∙ Visualízate, their fourth album, won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Tropical Fusion Album in 2016. ∙ Gente de Zona has been featured on tracks by Jennifer Lopez (“Ni Tú Ni Yo”), Kylie Minogue (“Stop Me from Falling”), and Thalía (“Lento”). ∙ “Muchacha,” their 2020 collaboration with pop star Becky G, was a Top 40 summer hit on the Billboard Tropical and Latin Pop charts.
