In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started playing piano when I was 3 years old on a toy piano my grandmother gave me for my birthday. She taught me how to play 'Happy Birthday' and, though I don't remember the moment, apparently I played it right back to her. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Billy Joel, Piano Man Jerry Lee Lewis, The Essential Jerry Lee Lewis: The Sun Sessions Ray Charles, The Genius of Ray Charles The Genius of Ray Charles album is appropriately titled. Billy Joel's approach storytelling on Piano Man influenced a great deal of work, and Jerry Lee Lewis was the very first guy who got me into the piano in the first place! Tell us why you chose this song. “Lay Your Body Down (Goodbye Philadelphia)” In a lot of ways this song is my debut as a songwriter. It from my first album of all original material 'East Of Angel Town' which was produced by David Foster and to me the song seems to become more relevant as time goes by.
