About Kevin Costner

Actor, director, and producer Kevin Costner began performing as a musician before his movie career took off, forming the band Roving Boy with John Coinman and Blair Forward. Scoring a number one single in Japan, Roving Boy became inactive as Costner's film career took off, although the three friends would still play together occasionally. Around 2005 Costner began to find more time for music, and the trio added Teddy Morgan, Larry Cobb, and Park Chisolm to the lineup, now known as Kevin Costner & Modern West. Untold Truths, the group's debut album, was released in 2008 by Universal South, followed by 2010's Turn It On and 2011's From Where I Stand. In 2012 the group provided the soundtrack for Costner's History Channel mini-series Hatfields & McCoys. ~ Steve Leggett
