Ahuva Ozeri was already a major Mizrahi force when she released Tziltzulei Pa'amonim in 1999. After a long absence from public life, the album reintroduced her to a new generation; its title track became an iconic hit, largely thanks to Ozeri’s gorgeous, haunting vocals. The album shows a Mizrahi music veteran at her best—jangling guitars, percolating hand drums and rippling tambourines all dancing under her smoky voice. The Mother of Mizrahi music, returned.
