About Samantha 7

Astute fans of ‘80s hair metal have always recognized that the genre was equally rooted in Led Zeppelin and the Beatles, the style's trademark bombast and tight pants masking the sharply written pop song machinery that lurked just beneath the surface. C.C. Deville’s post-Poison band Samantha 7 accentuated the latter, delivering a set of slightly trashy, slightly glammy power pop. Though the trio only released one album, Samantha 7 remains an important chapter in the storied career of C.C. Deville.
