About Richard Norris

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first punk gig was seeing the Ruts at the Marquee in Soho. I was 13 and went with my friends, in our school uniforms. We thought no one would notice, as we had taken our ties off! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brian Eno, Here Come the Warm Jets Brian Eno, Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy Dub Syndicate, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Time Boom X De Devil Dead I love all Adrian Sherwood productions and this is one of the best. Taking Tiger mountain is a favourite Eno album, although Here Come The Warm Jets is probably my favourite Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Music For Healing 8” One of my favourites in the long running Music For Healing series. I make these tracks every month, to help people to unwind. Quite a few people have let me know it has helped. Someone has even been born to this music! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing so many great shows recently - Queen Elizabeth Hall, Coventry Cathedral, Royal Festival Hall, to name three. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm working on testing the healing properties of my ambient music via scientific methods. It's a very exciting area for me and will hopefully help many people.
