About Matthew Schellhorn

Matthew Schellhorn is a prominent English pianist specializing in music by Olivier Messiaen and in contemporary music. He is also an educator who is on the faculty at Cambridge University. Schellhorn's album debut came with an appearance on the release Messiaen: Chamber Music in 2008. Schellhorn's debut solo release, Ian Wilson: Stations, appeared in 2014. In 2017, Schellhorn backed soprano Susanna Fairbairn on an album of songs by Geoffrey Bush and Joseph Horovitz. He returned in 2020 and 2022 with two volumes of piano music by Herbert Howells.
