Despite the acoustic instrumentation, Les Cowboys Fringants are hardly tethered to folk tradition, investing the klezmer-inspired “8 secondes” and the countrified frenzy of “Symphonie pour Caza” with the foot-stomping fervor you’d find in a mosh pit.
