About The Pale White

Newcastle indie rock power trio the Pale White produce a raw, distorted, pounding, yet melodic racket which harks back to the late-'90s/early-2000s era of alternative rock. Formed in 2016 by brothers Adam and Jack Hope (guitar/vocals and drums, respectively) and bassist Tom Booth, they were influenced by Nirvana, Pixies, the Black Keys, Interpol, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Queens of the Stone Age. After unsuccessfully trying out several potential fourth members, they decided their chemistry was best as a trio and opted to stick with that format. Rehearsing and gigging locally, they released a few tracks online and bagged support slots with Band of Skulls and Maximo Park before issuing their eponymous debut EP in 2017 via Ignition Records. That year they also played Glastonbury on the BBC Introducing stage. 2018 brought their second EP, Take Me to the Strange. They solidified their reputation as a live act with a U.K. tour with Twin Atlantic and a European tour with fellow Geordie Sam Fender. Their debut full-length album, Infinite Pleasure, was finished during 2020's COVID-19 lockdown and released in April 2021. ~ John D. Buchanan
