About Lolo Zouaï

Pop singer-songwriter Lolo Zouaï (pronounced “zoo-eye”) combines life experiences and storytelling skills to create a style of music she’s dubbed “bittersweet bangers.” • Zouaï was born in Paris to a French mother and an Algerian father. She moved with her family to San Francisco as a young child. • She officially began pursuing music in her teens. At 15, she auditioned for American Idol but didn't make the televised portion. • After dropping out of college, Zouaï eventually settled down in New York City, where she worked restaurant jobs and tried to get her footing as an artist. • With producer Stelios, she created her 2017 breakout single “High Highs to Low Lows.” The single garnered millions of streams across platforms. • That same year, Zouaï cowrote H.E.R.’s “Still Down,” which appears on the fellow Bay Area singer’s Grammy-winning eponymous album. • In 2019, Zouaï issued her genre-blending debut album, High Highs to Low Lows, through her RCA Records imprint, Keep It On the Lolo.
