Carnal Savagery

A Swedish extreme metal quartet with a sound rooted in the raw intensity of old-school death metallers like Entombed, Carnage, and Dismember, Carnal Savagery have a long lineage. The band's core members, Mikael Lindgren (drums/bass) and Henrik Jansson (guitar), co-founded the short-lived, underground death metal group Cromlech in the early '90s. Emerging in 2017, Carnal Savagery issued their unrelenting debut, Grotesque Macabre, in 2020. The album's ferocious blend of caustic hardcore and classic melodic death metal caught the attention of Moribund Records, which signed the band to a multi-album deal. The punishing Fiendish arrived in 2021, with the equally uncompromising Scent of Death appearing the following year.
