About ZillaKami

One-half of the New York group City Morgue, rapper ZillaKami is known for his aggressive delivery and punk-inspired style. • ZillaKami is from the Bay Shore, Long Island. In addition to playing football and joining punk bands, he regularly spent time with his older half-brother in Bushwick, Brooklyn. • His stage name stems from his childhood fandom of Godzilla toys. “Kami” translates to “God” in Japanese. • The rapper’s half-brother is Peter “Righteous P” Rogers, a former manager of controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. ZillaKami and 6ix9ine met as teens in a Brooklyn bodega and became friends and creative partners. • Zilla and 6ix9ine reportedly fell out due to money issues, leading to a war of words on social media and an alleged physical altercation. • In 2017, ZillaKami formed City Morgue with Spanish Harlem rapper SosMula. The duo signed to Righteous P’s Hikari-ULTRA label and inked a Republic Records distribution deal. • ZillaKami’s list of solo projects includes the 2017 full-length LifeIsAHorrorMovie and the 2019 two-pack German Dogs.
