It Comes and Goes

It Comes and Goes

In the three years since Dream On Dreamer’s Songs of Soulitude, frontman Marcel Gadacz has survived a cancer diagnosis and guitarist/vocalist Zach Britt has emerged from what he called a toxic relationship. These changes—particularly Gadacz’s health scare, which he describes as a “wake-up call”—led to a noticeable shift in the band’s approach to their music. Adding clean vocals to his repertoire, Gadacz reshaped their metalcore sound into the more melodic, alternative rock of the driving “Runaway” and anthemic “Voices.” Meanwhile, Britt is remarkably reflective and blunt about heartbreak on the tender ballad “Tell Me Why,” singing, “Tell me why you broke our love/Tell me why you lost your trust.”
