About Emma McGrath

With a voice that blends fragility and grit at the forefront of her mature-sounding folk-pop, Emma McGrath is a singer/songwriter from Harpenden, England, north of London. She counts Tracy Chapman and Brandi Carlile among her main influences. McGrath began writing songs at the age of 12 and released her debut EP, 2014's The Judgement, when she was 14. The stand-alone single "Sit with Me" followed in late 2015. She was awarded the PRS for Music Foundation Women Make Music grant in 2017 and co-wrote the single "Love You Better" with Grammy winner Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, Sia). It saw release in February 2018, two months before the arrival of her second EP, the self-issued Silent Minds. ~ Marcy Donelson
