El Rey del Punchline

El Rey del Punchline

A Puerto Rican purveyor of some of the rawest and realest Latin trap vibes, Omy de Oro delivers his bars with deadpan accuracy. As this EP’s regal title suggests, he excels in the art of the rap punchline, weaving metaphor after metaphor into his tightly assembled verses. He’s relentless with the references on “LALU,” name-dropping sports figures like Zion Williamson and Tiger Woods and even his trapero peers Cazzu and Miky Woodz. But the same cold flow that buoys “Hablan de Mí” and “No Sleep” serves him well on R&B reggaetón collabs with Alex Rose on “Te Perdí” and Rauw Alejandro on the thug love story “Estadía.”
