Anton Barachovsky

Russian violinist Anton Barachovsky was born in Siberia, and he attended the Novosibirsk Specialized Music School. The fourth-prize winner of the 1990 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, Barachovsky went on to tour Europe and perform in the United States. He collaborated with Christian Gerhaher, Gerold Huber, and Sebastian Klinger on a BR Klassik album of folk song arrangements by Haydn, Beethoven, and Britten, and has recorded chamber works by Brahms and Mahler for Naxos. ~ Blair Sanderson
