About Marlo

Atlanta rapper Marlo was poised to become his city’s next mainstream success, but he was killed before he could make the big leap. • Before music, Marlo was a respected name in the streets. Already embodying the rapper lifestyle—money, cars, and women—he decided to pursue a rap career. • After inking a deal with Quality Control Music, Marlo debuted in 2017 with 2 The Hard Way, a collaboration with labelmate and longtime friend Lil Baby. • Later that year, he delivered his solo debut, The Wire, and appeared on Quality Control: Control the Streets, Vol. 1, which hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200. • Marlo joined forces with Offset and the City Girls for “Soakin Wet,” a blaring party anthem from 2019’s Quality Control: Control the Streets, Volume. 2. • His final project, 2020’s 1st & 3rd, features Atlanta heavyweights like Future, Young Thug, and Gucci Mane. • In July 2020, Marlo was murdered in a drive-by shooting. He was just 30 years old.
