The Repentless Killogy (Live at the Forum In Inglewood, CA)

The first full Slayer set to be released as a live album since 1984 is a testament to the longevity, consistency, fleet-fingered chops, and devoted fans of the thrash metal pioneers. Recorded at the Inglewood Forum in 2017 towards the end of a multi-year trek supporting their final album, Repentless, Killogy is the product of a band that’s played roughly 2,000 shows with merciless energy, machinelike precision, blazing solos, little banter, no flights of fancy, and reliably rowdy crowds. These 90 minutes are heavy on songs from the band's classic, game-changing 1986–1990 run (think: Reign in Blood, South of Heaven, and Seasons in the Abyss); the coda to "Postmortem" is breakneck and the guitar solos on "Angel of Death" are wild. However, there's also room for savage versions of early '80s tunes like "The Antichrist," "Chemical Warfare," and "Hell Awaits," along with five songs off that last album.
