About Sheppard

Comprising siblings George, Amy, and Emma Sheppard and their collaborators, Australian indie-rock band Sheppard broke through with their second single, 2014’s “Geronimo,” which topped the Australian singles chart. • George and Amy Sheppard initially formed the group in 2009 as a duo that grew out of a music project Amy was assigned to complete for school. By 2012, the lineup had expanded to six people, including George and Amy’s younger sister Emma and George’s school friend Jay Bovino. • They got a major break when Bovino’s brother, a cameraman, passed Sheppard’s self-titled 2012 debut EP to TV host David Campbell, who had the group on his show Mornings. • Sheppard released their first full-length album, Bombs Away, in 2014. The album spent 18 weeks on the Australian charts, including two weeks at No. 2. • The band won Best Group in 2014 at the ARIA Awards, presented by the Australian Recording Industry Association. • Sheppard’s second album, 2018’s Watching the Sky, hit No. 1 on the Australian charts.
