About Seeed

Formed in 1998, Seeed is a Berlin-based reggae and hip hop ensemble known for singing in German, English and Patois. ∙ Their 2001 breakthrough single, “Dickes B,” featured Jamaican rapper Black Kappa and reached No. 27 on the German Top 100 Singles chart. ∙ They’ve won three Echo Awards, which honor excellence in German music, including Best National Newcomer in 2002. ∙ Five Seeed LPs have reached the Top 10 of the German Top 100 Albums chart, led by a 2012 self-titled collection that hit No. 1. ∙ The group has collaborated with Jamaican dancehall icon Elephant Man (“Shake Baby Shake”), soul star CeeLo Green (“Aufstehn!”), and German rapper Nura (“Sie is geladen”).
