A roaring post-punk band from England, TV Priest play hard, energetic rock music whose physical power is matched by the social and political commentary of their lyrics. Vocalist Charlie Drinkwater speaks more than he sings as he shares cynical and impressionistic verbiage focused on contemporary culture over the noisy but grooving accompaniment of the band. TV Priest introduced their sound in 2020 with a pair of decisive independent singles, "House of York" and "Runner Up," and they refined their approach on their full-length debut, 2021's Uppers. The band found themselves stuck at home after the LP was released, and their second album, 2022's My Other People, reflected a broader emotional range without sapping their strength.
