About The Sam Willows

Internationally acclaimed Singaporean pop group The Sam Willows have forged a remarkable career with exquisitely intimate vocal harmonies. Their music pivots on golden melodies and soft, acoustic sounds—as on 2012’s self-titled EP—that can break hearts as easily as uplift them. Yet they can also shift into mainstream pop. They achieve both on 2015 debut album Take Heart, retaining the folksy stomp while adding sleek, edgy friction and boy/girl vocal arrangements. After announcing a hiatus in 2019, the band’s stardom served to springboard the solo careers of all four members, with Narelle Kheng, Jonathan Chua and Sandra Riley releasing records that year, and Narelle’s brother Benjamin Kheng in 2020.
