About The Key of Awesome
The Key of Awesome is a YouTube comedy series known for creating viral videos, pop culture spoofs, and parodies of popular songs. Created by the comedy group Barely Productions (formerly known as Barely Political), whose writers and performers include Mark Douglas, Todd Womack, Bryan Olsen, and director Tom Small, the Key of Awesome launched in late 2009. The series itself was created by Mark Douglas and Ben Relles and has since poked fun at everything from Twilight to Adele to Pokemon Go. Some of their most popular musical parodies are of Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" and a character of their own creation, Reggae Shark, for which they have created numerous videos and songs. ~ Timothy Monger
