In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. music has always played an important part in my life. on my... fourth birthday(?), my grandfather gave me a small classical guitar. i started learning pieces by ear, slowly building dexterity and slowly starting to compose my own work. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Tears for Fears, Everybody Loves a Happy Ending Tears for Fears, Raoul and the Kings of Spain Thundercat, Drunk these are albums that have been essential to my musical development. some of my favorite songs i've ever heard dwell in these three albums, and the worlds they compose are worlds i go to whenever i create. Tell us why you chose this song. “Earth Eater” earth eater is an incredible piece in the obscura puzzle. i created this atmosphere for it that you get lost in. it's one of the most musically and lyrically conceptual parts of the record and i could hear it endlessly without getting bored of it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? there are bits of my journey that have been memorable, like playing onstage with kenny loggins, performing gigs of my own, etc. but the most memorable and valuable bit about it all is the creation and even the existence of my work in the first place. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? i want to continue down my path. i carved a way for myself with obscura, i want to stick to the sound and texture i've worked hard to create. being true to my tastes and what i find interesting is always going to yield the best results.
