Formed in 2004 in the Mexican state of Durango, Ponzoña Musical were quickly signed and in 2005 released their debut album, Puro Veneno Duranguense. Son de Amores (2006) became the group's first album to register on the Billboard charts, peaking at number 25 on the Top Latin Albums chart and number 11 on the Regional Mexican chart. ¡Puro Veneno... Compa! (2007) spawned their most popular single to date, "Tal Vez," a Top 40 hit on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart. In 2008 Ponzoña Musical released the CD/DVD Live from Mexico, which showcased their stage act along with their most popular hits. ~ Jason Birchmeier
