About Party Supplies

Able to fashion hip-hop beats for the likes of Action Bronson while employing glittery neo-disco on their own releases, versatile duo Party Supplies came together thanks to a shared love of both pop music's edge (Brian Eno, Frank Zappa) and its '80s (Peter Gabriel, Tina Turner). Producer Justin Nealis had been using the name for R&B remixes and hip-hop cuts, but in 2012, when multi-instrumentalist Sean Mahon was brought in to help work on Action Bronson's Blue Chips, Party Supplies were officially born. They made their debut in 2012 and broke through with Danny Brown's hit single "Grown Up." In 2013, they returned for Bronson's Blue Chips 2. Their debut album, Tough Love, landed in 2013. ~ David Jeffries
