Together with fellow bandoneon player Jose Libertella, Luiz Stazo formed Sexteto Mayor in 1972. Paced by Stazo and Libertella's double-bandoneon attack, the group has become one of the Argentina's leading bands. Initially attracting global attention as the orchestra, along with Sexteto Berlingieri, for the international stage show, Tango Argentino, in 1980, Stazo and Sexteto Mayor were featured in the Broadway musical Tango Passion. ~ Craig Harris
