Pianist Luis López, though early in his career, has already performed as far afield from his native Spain as Lithuania and Japan. He is also active as an educator. Since 2016, López has been active as an independent piano teacher in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Orotava in the Canary Islands. López has won several prizes at competitions, including top honors at the OPUS 2021 International Music Competition in Kraków, Poland, and the Eighth International Music Competition in Rome. In 2023, he released his debut recording, Albéniz & Granados Piano Works. The album earned a Latin Grammy award nomination as Best Classical Recording that year.
