About Los Cuates de Sinaloa

Los Cuates de Sinaloa are a Phoenix-based Regional Mexican band fronted by cousins Gabriel and Nano Berrelleza. ∙ In 2007, the band released two albums—Puro Sierreño Bravo and Los Gallos Más Caros—that reached the Top 20 of Billboard’s Latin Albums chart. ∙ They were nominated for Sierreño Artist or Group of the Year at 2007’s Premios Premmusa, which recognize the best Regional Mexicano artists. ∙ In 2009, they appeared on an episode of Breaking Bad, performing the narcocorrido “Negro y Azul: Ballad of Heisenberg.” ∙ Their upbeat 2011 song “La Reina del Sur” serves as the theme music of the popular telenovela of the same name.
