About La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol

La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol (aka La M.O.D.A.) are an acoustic folk-rock group from Burgos, Spain. The group was formed in 2011 by Adán R&R Maravillas (guitar, mandolin), Joselito Maravillas (accordion), Juan Mariscal (bass), David Ruiz (voice, banjo), Caleb (drums), and Alvar de Pablo (saxophone). Inspired by Irish street music, the sextet's sound owes a lot to artists such as the Pogues, the Waterboys, and Mumford & Sons. After a couple of well-received EPs, No Easy Road (2011) and The Shape of Folk (2012), M.O.D.A. issued their full-length debut, ¿Quién Nos Va a Salvar?, in 2013. It was followed by La Primavera del Invierno in 2015 and Salvavida (De las Balas Perdidas) in 2017. ~ Mariano Prunes
